Bad year for Seattle sports fans?
Even the New York Times thinks so. This is the score so far:
- The Seattle Mariners became the first 100-100 team. First team to have a payroll of more than $100 million dollars ($118 million to be exact) to lose more than 100 games. The Mariners concluded their dreadful season by losing 101 games.
- The slimy Oklahoma owners moved the Seattle Supersonics franchise to Oklahoma City, leaving our city without any NBA team.
- The Seattle Seahawks have a record of 2 – 8 and will not make the playoffs this year.
- The Washington Huskies remains the only team in the NCAA Division I Football to not have won a single game yet. With a record of 0 – 10, the Huskies will face just as awful rival – the Washington State Cougars (1 – 10) – tomorrow to determine if they will lose every single game this season.
