The “hot” streak continues…

June 29th, 2005 by ktula

When i say “hot”, i literally mean hot. Everywhere i went since the week of May 23rd has been hot. The weeks of 5/23 and 5/30, i was in Oahu and Maui. Both islands were pretty hot and humid, with temperature as high as the high 80s. The weeks of 6/6 and 6/13, i was near Washington DC. Although the average temperature this time of the year in DC should have been around the 70s, it was in the mid-90s during my two-week stay near DC. I went on a vacation to Singapore/Malaysia between 6/18 and 6/26. The 6 days or so while i was there, it was warm and extremely humid. I think i sweated out most of my fluid intake. I was taking about 3 showers a day. On my way back to the US, i had a 10-hour layover in Tokyo, so i decided to head to Akihabara, the district in Tokyo with tons of electronics related stores. The weather there was warm and very humid. Making matters worse, i was carrying my huge back pack everywhere i went. I was barely home in Seattle (6 hours) before i took a Tuesday morning flight to Dallas. The daily highs this week in Dallas was in the low 100s. Freaking hot again!!!
